The much-anticipated movie “Noah” debuted this past week-end. The film was a #1 box-office hit, raking in $44 million. Director Darren Aronofsky, an avowed atheist, created controversy by saying his film was   “the least biblical, biblical movie ever made.”

Jars

(We are reposted the top posts of 2014 in terms of reader “hits.”  This one came in at #9)

12 Days of Blogging: Reflections and Remembering Past Posts

12.Days.Blogging.

“As I grow older, it seems the years are gathering speed and I am left in awe at the surreal fact that I am definitely well down the slope of life.”

The above quote is from a friend and former college classmate of mine who recently posted this reflection on facebook.

Really, Nancy? Are we really “well down the slope of life”? Maybe we’re just at the peak!  After all Moses lived to be 120! Continue reading

Justice Holmes was extremely intelligent, highly respected and often quoted.  However, it is said that he was a bit absent-minded, as illustrated by this story.

Apparently, Justice Holmes was riding a train one day, when the railroad Conductor began walking down the car, checking tickets. As the ticket-checker approached, he watched Holmes search his wallet, unable to find his ticket. Frustrated, Holmes then checked each of his pockets. Still no ticket. Continue reading

And sent them off.  Continue reading
