Good Lord’s Day morning!
Today is our fourth Sunday of worship by ourselves from our Smoky Mountain retreat. The local church where we normally worship in Cosby and where I preach when we visit, is not meeting during this current crisis.

Yesterday was our first road trip since moving to the Lone Star state three weeks ago. And what a trip is was!
We left our home in Corinth, north of Dallas, about 9:15 on what should have been about a 5 hour drive with time to stop for lunch. We arrived 8 hours later.
The 30 mile obstacle course through Dallas, called I-35, is proving to be a daily adventure. Constant construction. Narrow lanes. Closed exits. Sudden stops. Rough pavement. Difficult to read signs. And, of course, always a crazy driver weaving in and out of traffic. These are to be expected as par for the course. Continue reading

Three days and three nights. 15 Lectures. 15 men. And 15 Psalms. Now the 2016 Florida College Lectures have ended. But, not my renewed quest to know God. Heighten the awareness of God in my life. And enhance my relationship with God.
The theme, “You Are My God,” has served us well. Actually, more than “well.” It has been magnificent. We have been revived. Renewed. And energized. Last night Ralph Walker closed the Lectures with a lesson based on Psalm 145, “I Will Bless Your Name Forever.” Continue reading
