At this time of the year when people are talking more about Jesus than the previous 11 months combined, here are some interesting statistics.
♦Only 41% of American adults, in general, believe Jesus existed before His birth.
♦32% disagree with the idea that Christ existed before His Bethlehem birth.
♦28% say they’re not sure.
♦Only 63% of those who attend church 4 times or more a month agree Jesus existed prior to His Bethlehem birth. Continue reading

Ralph and Darlene Burson was an elderly couple who lived next door to the Jacksons–Bill, Sherry, and four-year-old Jason.
A few days after Darlene died, little Jason wanted to go next door to see his friend Mr. Ralph, who was sitting on the back porch. His mother agreed.
When Jason walked up Ralph began to gently shed some tears. Upon seeing this Jason climbed up into his lap.

Of course, it’s part of the chorus of praise from the angelic heavenly host when they appeared to the shepherds in the field at Jesus’ birth (Lk. 2:1-14).

Our local newspaper, the Citrus County Chronicle bills itself as “Florida’s Best Community Newspaper Serving Florida’s Best Community.” Besides featuring local news, it carries columns not always found in big-city newspapers.
In addition to “Letters to the Editor,” the Chronicle has a “Sound Off” column where readers can call a hotline number and anonymously air their personal concerns, criticisms, and complaints. Or offer their commendation for something they like.

A Bible class teacher was explaining to the class that we really don’t know what Jesus looked like.
To illustrate, she showed a painting of Jesus, illustrating it was the painter’s rendition. “It’s not really Jesus. It’s just the artist’s conception of Him.”
