Good Morning from the Smoky Mountains
We’ve been blessed to return to one of our favorite places. It’s literally Springtime come alive in the Mountains. Plus, we’ve enjoyed being with our friends at the Cosby church as well as making new friends.
But the time as come to leave today and head to Douglasville, Georgia, where I will be preaching in a Sunday-Wednesday meeting at the Beulah Church. We’d love to see our friends in the greater Atlanta area. Continue reading
Good morning from Beverly Hills, Florida
Someone quipped at church the other evening, “Well, do you have all your boxes unpacked yet? Hopefully, they were joking. But we’re making progress.
With the arrival of more furniture yesterday, Norma Jean said, “Now, our house is beginning to look like a home.” Hopefully, we’ll soon be there. I’ll be happy when I get my desk and bookcases and can set up my office.
In addition to the recap of this week’s post, I’ve added a bonus post, on this my 73rd birthday, dedicated to my generation who are getting older, but don’t feel old yet. Hope you enjoy it. Continue reading
Good Morning from Beverly Hills, FL
We’re gradually getting settled in our new home and enjoying the slower pace and quiet “country life” here in Citrus county.
This month I will be preaching each Sunday morning at the West Citrus Church. So, if you’re traveling through our area, please stop and worship with us.
In addition, we’ve added some meeting and preaching dates to our 2021 schedule.
Good morning from Indian Shores Beach,
For the third consecutive year during this adventure, Norma Jean and I are enjoying an extended stay at the beach. Along with some preaching opportunities and our daily writing, it affords some relaxing time to appreciate the beauty of nature and enjoy God’s blessings. Additionally, it’s an excellent time to plan for next year’s activities, to the extent we’re able to do so. Continue reading
Today finds Norma Jean and me in Shelbyville, Tennesse, home of the Tennesse Walking Horse Celebration, where I’m conducting a weekend meeting for the Eastside Church.
For 11 years we lived in nearby Columbia, so its a pleasure to return to Middle Tennesse, enjoy the fellowship of these brethren, and see some old friends from bygone days. Plus, October is a wonderful time to visit the Volunteer state. Continue reading
Good morning from hot, sunny Florida!
Yes, we’re back in Florida. With the closure of the Canadian border and our trip to England canceled, we decided to come back and see our grandkids (oh, and of course, our kids too!) Continue reading
With the Canadian border still closed and travel to England cancelled, Norma Jean and I have been enjoying seeing the sights in Colorado this week. And reconnecting with friends of bygone days. While the events of the past three months are not what we planned, we’ve adapted the old adage, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”
But the time has come to leave the majestic mountains and journey east. Continue reading
And Happy 4th of July!
We’re still in Montana. But have moved to Polson, where I will be preaching again tomorrow and next Sunday.
This town is located on the edge of the gorgeous Flathead Lake, which is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Continue reading
