Greeting from Citrus County Florida

As we close April, we are finally getting some much needed rain here on the Nature Coast.  It’s been so dry here that I wondered if some “Elijah” had been praying for a drought.

Greetings from Miami, Florida.

Last night we concluded a meeting at the Carol City Church and are headed home today.

We’ve been with these brethren on previous occasions, so it was enjoyable to return and renew our relationships.  Our friend, Donald Jackson ,is the preacher at Carol City and is always very gracious when we are with him and his lovely and hospitable wife, Gwen.   She’s the daughter of the late and well known evangelist F. Good morning from Pompano Beach,

Well, it’s time for our annual trip to South Florida, to escape the “brutal cold” weather of North Central Florida. However, it’s only going to reach a high of 60 here today. But we will survive. Somehow.

Seriously, we began coming down here when we were traveling full time to see our good friends, Steve and Theresa McAllister and preach for the brethren at the Northside church.  We will be speaking 5 times. Twice tomorrow. Once Wednesday night. And twice next Sunday.  All the lessons will be on our 2023 theme “Sowing Seeds for Spiritual Growth.”  We’d love to see any our friends in the area while we are here.

Good Morning from Beverly Hills, FL

I hope 2023 is off to a good start for you.  I like the feeling of a clean start and a new beginning.  I came across this quote yesterday by an unknown author that should encourage us all.  “You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”

Good Morning from Beverly Hills, FL

Although we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Ohio and our month-long stay in Canada, it’s good to be home after being away for 40 days. We either preached or taught a class 17 times in the past six weeks. We’re thankful for the opportunity to minister in the Word and for the fellowship of these wonderful brethren.   So, to paraphrase Mark Twain, the reports of my retirement from preaching are greatly exaggerated.

Tomorrow, as well as next Sunday, I will be teaching a class and preaching for the West Citrus Church in Crystal River where we worship when we’re home. Continue reading →

Good Morning from Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada

After a two-year absence due to COVID-19 shutdowns, we were finally able to cross the border to see our Canadian friends and brethren again.

We will be here for the month of July working with the Wellandport Church where Mike Stephens serves as both a preacher and Shepherd, along with the two other Shepherds, Rob Caldwell and Barry Burns.  I will be preaching every Sunday, plus holding a weekend meeting, July 7-10. In addition, I will be teaching the adult VBS class, July 24-27.   We are so excited to return and be with this wonderful church family. Continue reading →

We’re home after a wonderful week enjoying Springtime in the Smoky Mountains.  And, of course, being with our friends Olie and Mary Williamson, as well as the church family at Cosby.  As a bonus, our friends James and Cheryll Witherington were coming through on the way to Florida and we were able to enjoy some time with them

We’re on the way home after a 2 week trip to Denton, TX, and then to Branson, MO.   Somehow in between preaching in a meeting, spending time with friends, traveling, and seeing shows, we’ve been able to post every day.

Good morning from Citrus Country, FL
