Friday’s List To Live By #66

Today is the 13th annual “Kindness Day” sponsored by WFLA News Channel 8 in Tampa.

Along with generous community and corporate partners, Kindness Day supports five Tampa Bay area charities.

However, regardless of where you live, in the spirit of Galatians 6:10, you can make today “Kindness Day” in your own special way.

Here are 21 ideas.

21 Ways To Show Kindness

♦Visit an elderly person in your local nursing home

♦Donate a toy to “Toys for Tots.”

♦Give blood.

♦Bake cookies and take to a neighbor, friend, or fellow Christian who’s shut-in.

♦Write a note of appreciation to someone who’s helped and encouraged you.

♦Call an old friend you haven’t talked to in a long time

♦Make a donation to a charity or college in someone’s honor or memory.

♦Gather up clothes or household items you’re not using and give to an organization that helps the disadvantaged.

♦Volunteer your time at a homeless shelter.

♦Put together a goodie bag to give to someone who’s standing at a street corner asking for help.

♦Make today “no criticism day” in your household. Only praise and kind words.

♦Smile and say “hello” to everyone you meet today.

♦Give the server a bigger than usual tip when you eat out tonight.

♦Share a compliment with a friend, co-worker or family member

♦Post something positive, encouraging, and uplifting today on social media.

♦Add a “Be Kind” frame to your facebook profile.

♦Be patient and nice when the fast-food restaurant isn’t very fast.

♦Reach out to a family member who you haven’t spoken to in a while.

♦Let someone merge into traffic ahead of you with a wave and a smile.

♦Buy a friend, or even a stranger’s lunch or a cup of coffee today.

♦Share this post via text, email, or social media with three other people who would appreciate and profit from it.

“Be kind to one another…”(Eph. 4:32).
