During the holiday season, we are taking a break from publishing new posts and reblogging the top 10 posts based on reader “hits.” This one was #9 for 2017,
The world won’t end (Saturday), “but the world as we know it is ending,” David Meade, told the Washington Post in a recent interview.
Meade is a self-described “specialist in research and investigations.” Apparently, his doomsday claim has some people nervously eyeing tomorrow, September 23, 2017, as the beginning of catastrophic events that will begin to befall Earth. His claims have been reported in Newsweek, Fox News, the Huffington Post and several other media outlets.

As we close 2017, we are reblogging the top 10 posts of the year according to reader views. This one came in at #10.
Adam Lyons says he’s “the luckiest man alive.” Why? Because the Londoner living in Austin, Texas, shares his life with two girlfriends, Brooke Shedd and Jane Shalakhova who are bi-sexual.
Lyons, the father of Shedd’s, 2 year old , Dante, is now expecting a baby boy with Shalakhova. The May 18th New York Post article extols their relationship called a “throuple.” The three share parenting duties as well as the same bed. They’re quoted as saying “For us, three definitely works better than two.”

I think the atmosphere of the holiday season, coupled with winter weather and the close of another year all adds up to a time where we tend to ponder the past, consider the present and anticipate the future.

This question was the lead sentence in a New York Times story several years ago. It seems that thieves broke into the building of the “Church of the Holy Cross” in Midtown Manhattan and stole a 200-pound plaster image of Jesus. It had been removed from a wooden cross that hung near the entrance of the building. Continue reading

A few years ago the Josephson Institute of Ethics surveyed 25,000 High Schools students and found 98% of the teens said it was important to be a person of good character, 90% said that being a good person is more important than being rich, and 94% said that trust and honesty are essential in business. Kate McClure’s miscalculation has blessed the lives of thousands, if not millions of people. And drastically changed the life of Johnny Bobbitt.
Late one November night the New Jersey woman ran out of gas on Interstate 95 on her way to Philadelphia. After coasting down the exit ramp, McClure said, “I pulled over as far as I could and got out of the car to head to the nearest gas station. That’s when I met Johnny. He told me to get back in the car and lock the doors. A few minutes later, he comes back with a red gas can. Using his last 20 dollars to make sure I could get home safe.”
