Weekly Recap: February 20-25

Good Morning from Beverly Hills,

Yesterday Norma Jean and I drove our own car to a Doctor’s appointment, then went to the Y to work out.   After that, we went to Winn Dixie to buy groceries.  The shelves were filled with many choices and we bought what we wanted.  After enjoying a BLT for lunch and watching Outnumbered, I did some work that required the use of the internet.  Relaxed a bit in the afternoon.  Cleaned off our pool deck.  Then showered, and went out to eat at one of our favorite area restaurants for a fish dinner.  All of this was done with relative ease and no concern for our safety. Weekly Recap: February 13-18

Good Morning From Beverly Hills, Florida

Occasionally my blog mentions something that occurred “on this day in history.  Today our household is celebrating such an event.  It was on February 19, 19– that a baby girl was born about 60 miles north of here.  Her name– Norma Jean Slaughter.  While that birth won’t receive any national recognition, it’s pretty important to us.   Happy Birthday, Sweetie! Weekly Recap: January 30-February 4

Good Morning from Beverly Hills,

This week has been characterized by wide swings, not just of temperatures in central Florida, but of distance traveled in a short period of time, as we made a quick trip to Ohio, but also of emotions as we spoke at the celebration of life service for our long time friend, Dave Wyckoff.  Our blog posts this week reflect those wide swings.    I guess that’s a pretty good snapshot of life, overall. Weekly Recap: December 12-17

Good morning from Beverly Hills, Florida.

“It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” started playing the other day on my Sirius holiday channel.  I thought, with 80-degree weather, “not so much.”  Like other parts of the country, even Florida is enjoying unseasonably warm weather. But people still decorate.  Yes, even with snowmen.

It’s also the time of year where we take a holiday break from blogging and repost the top 10 posts for 2021 in terms of reader views.   Tomorrow, we will begin with #10.

With almost 2900 posts, many of our posts from years past still receive many hits.  In fact, the top 3 most-read posts of 2021 were written in past years.  We’ve linked those below.  Of course, this post, with its recap and quick links,  offers you a way to catch up in case you missed any this week. Today we’re driving over to the Space Coast where I will be preaching for the North Courtenay Ave Church in Merritt Island tomorrow.  We’re looking to seeing some old friends, meeting many of these brethren for the first time, and hopefully meeting some of our readers. Continue reading
