Who Says?

The hopeless says, “It’s impossible.”  God says, “All things are possible”. (Lk 18:27)

“One can worship God by himself, but not for long. The secret of our religion is that we get the most out of it when we are giving the most.” (Fitzgerald) Continue reading

Instructions for Life

I have done a lot of reading over the years from the famous author anonymous. I came across this list in my file on “life” some time ago. I’m sharing it with you because I liked it and I think you will too. And it’s Bible based.

2. Don’t believe all that you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

And, as Americans we wonder “Are we safer today than we were 15 years ago?” Continue reading

You would probably say, “Ken, I’d rather wait until Sunday and come over and taste it myself.” Continue reading

Surrender

In his book The Purpose Driven Life, Rick Warren writes, “The heart of worship is surrender.” He suggests that the idea of surrender is both unpopular as well as disliked. We are taught NOT to surrender. Never give up. Never give in. Fight to the bitter end. Continue reading

The Heart

“The heart is central,” wrote John Eldredge in his book The Ransomed Heart. “That I would even need to remind you of this only shows how far we have fallen from the life we were meant to live—or how powerful the spell has been.” Continue reading

Three Elements of a Great Life
