There is an old Mac Davis song that says, “Oh Lord, it’s hard to be humble when you’re perfect in every way. Oliver Cromwell of Britain was one of the great politicians and solders in the mid 1600’s. He served in the British Parliament for many years. During that time Britain was running very low on silver for coins, so they began to search for sources of the precious metal. The place where they found the most silver was in the Cathedrals. The Unsinkable Ship
Mrs. Sylvia Caldwell was a second class passenger on the Titanic. One of the few that lived to recall that dreadful night on April 15, 1912. She marveled at the majesty of the great ship as she boarded and asked a deck hand, “Is this ship really unsinkable?” To which he replied, “Yes, lady, God himself could not sink this ship.”

◆Trails need to be reconstructed. Please avoid building trails that go uphill.
◆Trails need to be wider so people can walk holding hands
◆Too many bugs and leeches and spiders and spider webs. Please spray the wilderness to rid the areas of these pests.
◆Please pave the trails.

Are You Gettin’ Better?
Baseball has begun. So it must be Spring! And how about those Tampa Bay Rays beginning the season with a 3-0 sweep of the Yankees?!
One of my favorite baseball stories involves famed St. Louis Cardinal pitcher, Dizzy Dean, a member of the so-called “gas-house gang.” In 1934 Dizzy had a 30-7 record. He led the league in strike-outs. Led the league in shutouts. And won two games in the World Series, including the deciding seventh game to beat the Detroit Tigers. He was named MVP in 1934. A couple took their son, Tommy, to a concert to hear a famous pianist. During the intermission while they were busy talking with friends, Tommy wandered away. He entered the backstage area through a door that said STAGE ENTRANCE. NO PUBLIC ACCESS.
When the couple returned to their seats he says, “Where’s Tommy?”
