The power of sin to hold us captive is like the story of little Johnny visiting his grandparents on their farm.
Johnny was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced shooting rocks, but he could never hit the target. Discouraged, he headed back inside for lunch.
As he returned to his grandma’s backyard, he spied her pet duck. Impulsively he took aim and hit the duck square in the head and killed it. Johnny panicked and hid the duck in the woodpile, only to look up and see his sister, Sally, watching. Continue reading
It was 75 years ago today at 7:55 am on a Sunday morning that a Japanese dive bomber bearing the red symbol of the Rising Sun of Japan on its wings suddenly appeared out of the clouds above the Hawaiian Island of Oahu.
What followed was 360 Japanese war planes that attacked our naval and air base at Pearl Harbor. When the raid was completed our Pacific fleet was devastated. 2400 Americans were killed. 1200 were wounded. More than 200 of our aircraft were destroyed. 5 battleships, 3 destroyers and 8 other ships were either sunk or severely damaged. Continue reading

Who you may not recognize is Jonathan Gruber, and his recent quote that is being played on many media outlets. Gruber, a MIT health economist, helped craft the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.
In a moment of incredible candor, Gruber admitted to a University of Pennsylvania audience last year that the bill passed because of the “stupidity of the American voter.” Gruber explained, .. if you had a law which said that healthy people are going to pay in — you made explicit that healthy people pay in and sick people get money — it would not have passed.” Continue reading

Last night in an impassioned Talking Points memo, Fox News Commentator, Bill O’Reilly, said it is time to declare war on ISIS and other Muslim terrorist groups.
Following the public beheading of two American journalists, James Foley and Steven Sotloff, O’Reilly called for Congress to formally declare war on Islamic terrorists and for the President to sign it
There can be no doubt that ISIS and those of their ilk are at war with us. In a recent video one of their soldiers looked into the camera and sneered “I say to America that the Islamic Caliphate has been established.
