Faith, Forgiveness and Pope Francis

Pope Francis waves as he leaves at the end of his weekly general audience in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican, Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014. A U.N. human rights committee denounced the Vatican on Wednesday for ìsystematicallyî adopting policies that allowed priests to rape and molest tens of thousands of children over decades, and urged it to open its files on the pedophiles and the bishops who concealed their crimes. Pope Francis is coming to America. He will arrive this afternoon at Joint Base Andrews. Wednesday there will be a welcoming ceremony at the White House where he will meet with President Obama. Thursday he will speak to a joint session of Congress. And Friday he will address the United Nations general assembly in New York.

There is much speculation on what issues the Pope will address. Stephen Moore, a Catholic Consultant to the Conservative Freedom Works Organization offers these suggestions. Continue reading

For The Sake Of Abortion, Religious Beliefs Must Change!

Bible.,Man

“Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.”

These shocking words were spoken by Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as she delivered the keynote address at the 2015 Women in the World Summit in New York City on April 23rd. Continue reading

An Ignominious Anniversary

ChooseLife.2

Today is the 42th anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion. That epic decision has now left over 57 million babies dead. And many women scarred for life. Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. And Spiritually.

I agree with Norma McCorvey “I don’t think there is a good reason for an abortion….“It’s not your body, it’s not your choice, because you got that from God. He gave it to you.”

“Who’s Norma McCorvey?”  you ask.  “And what right does she have to say that?” Continue reading

Responding to America’s Abortion Culture

Baby.Blog

“How do we interact in a secular world, where we often feel between a rock and the hard place?” asked Stephen, one of our regular readers.

Stephen cited two areas of concern.  The Christian’s attitude toward the sin of homosexuality and the problem of abortion.  Yesterday, we discussed the importance of applying the command to “love your neighbor” as it relates to those engaged in sinful lifestyles.  Today, we want to address to the issue of abortion.   Continue reading

Coming Soon! “GOSNELL” The Movie

GosnellMovie

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the first degree murder conviction in the trial of Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortion doctor.

He was found guilty of murdering three babies born alive in his abortion clinic by severing their spines with scissors following delivery.   And convicted on two counts of gross negligence of two mothers.  In addition Gosnell was convicted for killing 21 babies in utero, which is not murder in these cases, but a violation of Pennsylvania’s legal-abortion limit. Gosnell Guilty!

Kermit GosnellThe Jury returned the verdict Monday.  Dr. Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia physician, was convicted of first degree murder.

He was guilty of murdering three babies born alive in his abortion clinic.

He was guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the overdose death of an adult patient.

The grisly details reported by Fox News and the ensuing guilty verdict has shocked even abortion advocates and exposed the disturbing details of what really occurs in abortion clinics.  I will spare our readers  the appalling  practices performed by Gosnell.  But they were so shocking it is said reporters did not want to cover the trial and report it. That’s not my purpose here. Continue reading

It’s a Child. Not a Choice.

Baby.8.Weeks

“I don’t think there is a good reason for an abortion….“It’s not your body, it’s not your choice, because you got that from God.  He gave it to you.”

Guess who said that?

Not the Pope. Not a preacher.  Not a politician.  It was Norma McCorvey.  Don’t know her?  She was a Texas woman who at age 21 was pregnant for the third time.  She worked at a low paying job.  And Norma didn’t need another child. Continue reading
