Weekly Recap: October 19-23

Greetings from the Great Smoky Mountains

Norma Jean and I enjoyed our honeymoon in Gatlinburg 58 years ago.  So, the Smoky Mountains have always held a special place in our hearts.  We’ve returned many, many times over the years. In the 8 years since I resigned from full-time, located ministry, we’ve been blessed to enjoy the Smokies’ beauty and ambiance every Spring and Fall.

It’s also been a pleasure to develop a close relationship with the brethren at the Cosby Church, and grow a special kinship with Olie and Mary Williamson.  Olie likes to quip that I’m the Cosby preacher, but only here 4 weeks a year, and he has to fill in the other 48 weeks! So, I will be preaching again tomorrow.  If you’re in the area, join us for worship at the Cosby Church of Christ.

Today’s post recaps last week’s post in case you missed it.  It’s also a good way to share ThePreachersWord with family, friends, and brethren via email or social media.

Hope you all have a great day. And a wonderful weekend

God Bless,

Ken

BONUS POST

Published 10 years ago today, this post on RESPECT is still relevant.  In this age of political polarization, social media squabbles, and fractured fellowship, applying Biblical principles of respect could solve many problems.
