Greetings from the Great Smoky Mountains!
This week, Norma Jean and I identify with a comment by hiker and blogger Alex Derr, who wrote, “I don’t know why mountains lift the spirit so. They just do.”
We feel very blessed each October to enjoy the gorgeous Fall foliage, experience cooler weather, and, of course, eat some pancakes. It’s also become a tradition I preach at the Cosby Church each year we visit. We’re looking forward to worshiping with the brethren at Cosby this Sunday and next, and enjoying time with our friends Olie and Mary Williamson, who are still going strong into their 90s.
If you’re visiting the Smoky Mountains this weekend or next and looking for a place to worship, come and join us. It’s a short and scenic drive, 15 miles east of Gatlinburg on 321. (4894 Hooper Hwy, Cosby, TN 37722)
Bible Class begins at 10:00 and is taught by Olie. The worship service is at 11:00 AM.
This Saturday post recaps our past week’s posts in case you missed one. It’s an easy way to catch up and share ThePreachersWord with family, friends, and brethren via email or social media.
Have a great day. And a wonderful weekend.
God Bless,
Ken
