10 Things God Wants You To Remember

Many of you receiving this blog via email are not on social media. Others are on platforms like facebook, but have grown weary of its negativity.

Each Friday, we post some of the good we’ve observed from facebook. Today’s post is a potpourri of posts from various sources, including “10 Things God Wants You To Remember.”

We begin with this quote from John Piper.

“God made us male and female, and we are male and female all the way down. Your womanhood is like yeast in the dough, like the color in the paint of your life, like the aroma in the flower that you are, like the melody in the song.”

Leadership guru John Maxwell has recently released a new book– “The 16 Undeniable Laws of Communication.” Here’s a quote he shared promoting the book. It speaks to all of us who speak publicly–preachers, pastors, and Bible class teachers. And sounds like a good application of Philippians 2:3-4

“If you want to become a good communicator, you must acknowledge that your position or title will not keep people engaged. You need to raise the bar for yourself and start developing skills that make others want to listen to you! When you develop relationships with people, you will sense a shift in them from having to listen to you to wanting to listen to you because people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”

Some stewardship advice from Dave Ramsey. “Debt is not the answer to your money problems. It IS the problem.” (See Proverbs 22:7).

“Our attitudes are the reflection of our souls,” posted Tim Tebow, “If your soul is filled with positivity, grace and thankfulness, your attitude will follow. It starts from within!”

Alvin Walker posted this in Brethren On Line. “Don’t say you will go to jail over your faith, when you won’t even go to church over it.”

Warren Berkley offered this insight from his blog and fb page.

“Regular attendance to worship and Bible study will expose us to teachings we’ve heard before, reviewing and reading what we’ve already learned. That may seem to be tedious or uselessly redundant.

But when the devil’s flames begin to scorch the edges of your faith, you’ll need everything you’ve learned and reviewed.
