Today is traditionally that annual ominous day, April 15, that’s the tax deadline in the US. However, with today being a holiday, it’s on the 18th of this year.
However, it’s a good time for us to think about our attitude toward paying taxes. Today’s list offers 7 reasons why we ought to be happy to pay taxes.
7 Reasons to Rejoice in Paying Taxes
#1 Paying taxes reminds me that God has blessed me with income (Deut 8:18).
#2 Paying taxes an opportunity to obey Jesus’ command “to render unto Caesar” (Matt. 22:15-22)
#3 Paying taxes fulfills my duty to obey the law (Rom. 13:1-17).
#4 Paying taxes represents responsible stewardship (Rom. 13:8).
#5 Paying taxes demonstrates my honesty and integrity (Prov.3:9; Rom. 12:17).
#6 Pay taxing is a way to help the less fortunate through social programs (Eph 4:28; Gal. 6:10).
#7 Pay taxes reminds me to have the attitude of Christ and “do all things without grumbling or disputing (Phil. 2:5, 14; 1Cor. 10:10).
