The other day Norma Jean and I were eating in Cracker Barrel and I saw a plaque as we were leaving with “Rules For Marriage.”
I said, “That would make a good Friday’s list.” However, it would be even better to actually live by these “rules” in my marriage. And your marriage.
With only a slight modification, plus the addition of Bible verses for each one, here they are.
9 RULES FOR MARRIAGE
#1 Say “I Love You” (Eph.5:25; Tit. 2:4).
#2 Tell the Truth (Eph. 4:25).
#3 Forgive (Col. 3:12-13).
#4 Don’t Bring Up the Past (1 Cor. 13:5).
#5 Be Romantic (Prov 5:19; Song of Solomon).
#6 Keep Your Promises (Eccl. 5:4-5
#7 Laugh Together (Prov. 17:22; Eccl. 3:4).
#8 Compliment Each Other (Rom. 15:2).
#9 Enjoy Each Other (Prov. 5:18; Eccl. 9:9).
How many of these are you following? How many of these need improvement in your marriage?

Ken, these are really good, and, thanks for adding the scripture to follow up on. You and Norma Jean have a good weekend.

A blessed share Steve. I would like to add a daily kiss and hug. Marriage relationships are what Satan goes after. Thank you for the exposition.
