Greetings from rainy Beverly Hills, FL
If you are following the weather, you know Florida experienced its first hurricane of the season, Isaias, which made landfall last night near Destin, FL, as a CAT 2 hurricane, around 8:30 p.m. While we’re thankful that all we’ve had this week on the Nature Coast is rain, we pray for the safety of our friends and fellow citizens in the Panhandle.
Also, some of our congregation members work for the power company and have been dispatched to help restore power in that area. We’re thinking of them and praying for their safety as they do this difficult work.
Today’s post recaps last week’s posts with live links. It’s an easy way to catch up in case you missed one. Also, it’s a great way to share ThePreachersWord with family, friends, and brethren via email or social media.
Tomorrow, I am preaching at the West Citrus Church in Crystal River. Then, we leave this week for our annual Fall trip to the Smoky Mountains. Next Sunday, I will be preaching at the Cosby Church. If you’re visiting the Smokies next Sunday, come and worship with us.
Have a great day. And a wonderful weekend.
God Bless,
Ken

BONUS POST
Here’s a post from 10 years ago today that addresses Christian responsibility to seize opportunities and do good. It’s based on a familiar Bible passage, Galatians 6:10. It’s a 3-minute read that will remind, encourage, and challenge you to seek, see, and seize opportunities to do good.
