Friday’s List To Live By #40

Today’s list comes from a little paperback gift book by Clara Hinton entitled Heavenly Pearls of Wisdom for Husbands.

It contains 100 suggestions with an accompanying Bible verse on how husbands can keep love alive forever.

We picked out a dozen that you will find helpful. (Hint to wives: You might want to print this out and leave it where your husband can see it!)

12 WAYS HUSBANDS CAN KEEP LOVE ALIVE

#1 Just as a rose is tender and beautiful, so is your wife. Treat her as such. (Col. 3;19).

#2 Don’t think in terms of “mine;” rather think in terms of “ours” (Phil. 2:3).

#3 Be patient. (1 Cor. 13:4).

#4 A small unexpected act of kindness means much more than a big gift given from guilt. (Eph. 4:32).

#5 Never compare your wife to others (Son. 6:3).

#6 Don’t share your wife’s private feelings with others (Prov. 11:3).

#7 Learn to share (Heb. 13:16).

#8 Empty the garbage without being asked (Phil. 2:14).

#9 Compliment your wife to others (Prov. 31:31).

#10 Be a good listener. (Prov. 18:13).

#11 Learn to Say “I Love you” often (Eph. 5:25).

#12 Back the words “I’m sorry with actions that truly mean “I’m sorry.” (Rom. 12:9-21)
