Friday’s List To Live By #29

Today’s list comes from a book I found while unpacking. It’s a personally autographed copy of You’re Born An Original Don’t Die a Copy, by John Mason. It consists of 52 nuggets, as he calls them, one for each week of the year.

Slightly adapted and with some added scriptural references, here’s Nugget #29 for our 29th “List to Live By.”

Today I Will…

Compliment three people (Heb. 3:13, NIV).

Make myself valuable to somebody (Mk. 10:42-45).

Not lose an hour in the morning and spend all day looking for it (Eph. 5:16).

Tackle a problem bigger than me (Phil. 4:13).

Make a small improvement in some area (2 Cor. 13:5).

Change my thinking from TGIF to TGIT–Thank God It’s Today! (Ps. 118:24).

Do at least three things that will take me out of my comfort zone (2 Tim. 1:7).

Die to myself (Gal. 2:20).

Give thanks for my daily bread (Matt. 6:11).

Take small steps to conquer a bad habit (1 Cor. 10:13).

Live by the Golden Rule, so that I won’t have to apologize for my actions tomorrow (Matt.7:12).

Judge this day, not by the harvest, but by the seeds I plant (Gal. 6:7-10).
