WHAT PRAYER PROVIDES

Protection
Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge.
(Ps 16:1)

Purpose
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
(Rom 12:12).

Power
and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might.
(Eph. 1:19)

Provision
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God
(Phil. 4:6)

Peace
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
(Phil 4:7)

Perspective
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
(1 Thess. 5:16-18)

Passion
But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.
(1 Pet. 4:7)

Purity
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
(Ps. 51:10)

In view of this list, let us be persistent in prayer. “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thess. 5:17)
