Two or three times a year we take a break from blogging. This is one of those times. But this is the most unique. And a once in a lifetime occurrence.
It is a celebration of our 50th anniversary. And it is out of the country. We are leaving this morning from Chicago, O’Hare. (Thanks to Steve Wolfgang for the park and fly service)
We are flying to Athens. Then boarding a ship for a Mediterranean cruise which disembarks in Rome. If we have the promised internet service in Athens and Rome, we plan to publish some short posts.
During the cruise, we will not have internet service so we will not be publishing any new blog posts. If the system works, we will have WordPress to publish some past posts during our break. Many of our new readers have not read these. And hopefully, our long-time readers will enjoy seeing them again.
A note to those who just read ThePreachersWord from facebook: Facebook established a new policy August 1 that will not permit third parties to post to your page. In other words, when I published a post WordPress would automatically post it on my page. Now I have to post it manually. So, if you don’t want to miss any posts, I would recommend signing up to have ThePreachersWord delivered directly to your email inbox.
When we return to the states, we will resume our regular blog posts. Thanks for your support of ThePreachersWord. Your faithful readership. And your many encouraging comments.
