Also we counted 20 occasions where we enjoyed fellowship and hospitality with the brethren either in their home or at a restaurant. Greetings from Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada.
Or as locals in the region call it, “The Port.” It’s a neat area with the Welland canal connecting Lake Ontario with Lake Erie. It’s fascinating to watch these huge barges inch their way through the locks as they are lowered and raised. If you ever come to Niagara Falls its worth a trip to see it. While you can watch from The Port or one of the other 8 locks, one of the best places to watch is Lock 7 at Thorold, where there is a watching station. Continue reading

We are attending the Southside Lectures in Pasadena, where I will be speaking four times (Mon-Thurs), on the theme “What Says the Scripture?” We are not only excited about the opportunity, but looking forward to seeing many of our Texas friends as well as being with the other speakers. As we close April, we are finally getting some much needed rain here on the Nature Coast. It’s been so dry here that I wondered if some “Elijah” had been praying for a drought.

Last night we concluded a meeting at the Carol City Church and are headed home today.
We’ve been with these brethren on previous occasions, so it was enjoyable to return and renew our relationships. Our friend, Donald Jackson ,is the preacher at Carol City and is always very gracious when we are with him and his lovely and hospitable wife, Gwen. Good morning from Pompano Beach,
Well, it’s time for our annual trip to South Florida, to escape the “brutal cold” weather of North Central Florida. However, it’s only going to reach a high of 60 here today. But we will survive. Somehow.
Seriously, we began coming down here when we were traveling full time to see our good friends, Steve and Theresa McAllister and preach for the brethren at the Northside church. We will be speaking 5 times. Twice tomorrow. Once Wednesday night. And twice next Sunday. All the lessons will be on our 2023 theme “Sowing Seeds for Spiritual Growth.” We’d love to see any our friends in the area while we are here.
