If God is Good, Why Does Evil Occur?

Suffering is a part of the human experience. Jesus told the apostles in John 16:33, “In this world, you’re going to have trouble. You’re going to have tribulation.” But he didn’t explain why.

In midst of his pain and anguish, Job observed, “Man that is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble” (Job 14:1). But he still didn’t understand why.

Life Lessons From The Oklahoma Tornado

Amazing. Incredible.  Captivating.  Those words don’t begin to describe the scene yesterday afternoon when I turned on Fox News and saw the powerful Tornado moving across the Oklahoma plains.  I was watching it live as it was filmed from a helicopter.  You could see flashes of light from the distance as it evidently took down power-lines.  But it was coming across open land.  Maybe it would lift up.  Dissipate.  Move on.  And not strike a populated area.  Continue reading

Why Does God Allow Suffering?

Have you ever taken some medication that promises wonderful results to alleviate some pain or problem?  But there is a warning that says “possible side effects.”  Isn’t life a lot like that? 

One on hand life is full of joy. Pleasure.  Adventure.  Exhilaration.  Enchantment. Excitement.
