Weekly Recap: June 17-21

Greetings from Beverly  Hills, FL

This will be our last post from Florida for a while.  Monday we are leaving for a summer trip to Ontario, Canada.  This year we will be staying in Welland in the Niagara region.

While it will be nice to escape the oppressive Florida heat for a while, more importantly we are looking forward to being with our Canadian brethren again.  Already scheduled are preaching appointments in Wellandport, Hamilton, and Kingston.  Also we will be teaching the adult class at the Wellandport VBS.  If time and opportunity permits, we may add a couple more speaking engagements.

An apology and clarification is in order for a snafu this week on our Thursday post, Unknown Heroes,  it was inadvertently sent early while in preparation.  This mistake has been corrected.  So, disregard the earlier link.  This is the correct link– Unknown Heroes.

As always, our Saturday post is a recap of the past week’s posts to help you catch up in case you’ve missed one.  Plus, there’s a bonus post at the end from one of our reader’s favorite columns, “It’s Friday. But Sunday’s coming!”

Have a great day. And a wonderful weekend.

Oh, and remember us in your prayers as we travel North.

God bless,

Ken

BONUS POST

For over four years we published a column every Friday called, “It’s Friday. But Sunday’s  Coming!  Each one speaks to some aspect of Jesus’  life, ministry and/or death on the cross. There are 175 of these posts you can access here. This post is from 12 years ago today.  From Ordinary to Extraordinary.  It’s a quick read. And worth your time. Again.  Also you may find a good “Table Talk” for the communion service tomorrow.
