Good Morning from Citrus County, Florida
As a public service to our readers, today, October 8th is World Migratory Bird Day. It’s also World Octopus Day. As well as International African Penguin Awareness Day You’re welcome.
If none of those days gets you in a celebratory mood, October 8th has plenty of other weird, wacky and unusual holidays. Click here for more reasons to celebrate.
However, I will echo the words of the Psalmist. “This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it” (Ps. 118:24). That’s enough reason to celebrate life and the Lord’s blessings.
It’s also a day, (as is every Saturday) that we send our readers a recap of the past week’s posts in case you missed one. It’s a good way to catch up.
My preaching schedule for the next three weeks finds me at the West Citrus church in Crystal River tomorrow. And the next two Sunday’s (Oct. 16 & 23), I will be preaching at the church in Cosby, Tennessee. If you happen to be visiting the Smoky Mountains during that time, come and join us.
Hope you all have a great day. And a wonderful weekend.
God bless,
Ken
Do You Have a Target on Your Back?
I chose today’s bonus post, published 8 years ago today in light of the urgent needs created in Southwest Florida by hurricane Ian. It addresses doing good based on Galatians 6:10. I encourage you to read it. And respond accordingly.
