Our Wednesday night class at the West Citrus Church has been studying the beatitudes from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount.
This week we discussed Matt. 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.”
From this statement, we offered several Biblical suggestions on how peace is possible, which serves as today’s list.
How Is Peace Possible?
#1 Get Right with God (Rom. 5:1-2).
#2 Respect the Word of God (Jn.17:21; ! Cor. 1:10).
#3 Pray for peace (Phil. 4;6-7).
#4 Pursue peace (I Pet. 3:11).
#5 Do the things that make for peace (Rom. 14:19).
#6 Be an edifer (1 Cor. 10:23; 14:26).
#7 Don’t allow problems to fester (Ax. 6:1-7).
#8 Realize that divisiveness is sinful (Tit. 3:10-11).
#9 Do all things from the spirit of love (I Pet. 4:8).
#10 Remember God hates division and discord (Prov. 6:16-19).
#11 Avoid foolish questions and useless speculation (I Tim. 6:3-5; Titus 3:9; Tim. 2:23).
#12 YOU be the peacemaker, if humanly possible (Rom. 12:18)
