Today is a national holiday in the United States honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Although King was born on January 15, we celebrate his legacy on the third Monday in January.
While M. L. King is known for his tireless work in the area of civil rights, the peaceful marches, and his fiery speeches, perhaps he’s best known for his great “I Have a Dream” speech delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in August of 1963.
