Be Thankful

Plutarch who lived from 46-120 A.D. once wrote, “The worship most acceptable to God comes from a thankful and cheerful heart.” The Psalmist often coupled the sprit of thanksgiving with worship to God.

“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving. And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” (Ps. 100:4)

“I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.” (PS. 69:30)

“I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving. And will call upon the name of the Lord.” (Ps.116:17

“I will give You thanks in the great assembly;I will praise You among many people. ““ (PS. 35:18)

Today is Sunday. A day to join fellow Christians in worshiping God. May we be thankful. Let us give thanks for the privilege of worship.  For God.  For who He is.  For His love.  Mercy.  And grace.  For His great plan for our salvation.

May we be thankful for Jesus.  For his life.  His teaching.  His sacrifice.   And for the hope of a bright future He has given us.

A knowledge of God and Christ would be impossible without the revelation of the Holy Spirit.  Thank you.  For the Word you have given us.  For your gift.  For your intercession in prayer.  And for the incentive to holiness that you provide.

Join your church Family today with a thankful and cheerful heart.
