Greetings from chilly Beverly Hills,
If Norma Jean were writing this, she’d say “cold” instead of “chilly.” Yesterday it was 29 where we live. I slept in this morning, and it’s now up to 35. So, it does get cold in Florida.
But like my friend, Tommy Peeler, posted on Facebook from Indiana, where it does really get cold, “we’re thankful to have warm houses.”
Welcome to the many new readers who’ve joined us this year. And a special shoutout to those from the Republic of Singapore. We’ve had a surge in hits from that independent island country in Southeast Asia. With a population of over 6 million, there’s plenty of room for growth. Please share ThePreachersWord with your friends there.
Today’s post is a recap of the past week’s posts in case you missed one. It’s a great way to catch up. Plus, an easy way to share ThePreachersWord with family, friends, and brethren via email or social media. Also, there’s a post bonus at the end from 2016
Hope you all have a great day and a wonderful weekend.
God Bless,
Ken

Choosing Happiness in a World that Sells it
With the NFL playoffs in full swing, here’s a post from January 2016 that tells a cute story from a first-grade class and teaches a powerful lesson we can all apply. By the way, I’m picking 2016 because that is apparently a current social media trend going viral.
In that spirit, this week we are going to reblog each post from the third week in January. We’re really doing it, not so much to participate in a cultural trend, but to use the extra time to work on a sermon project and get ready for a weekend meeting next weekend at the Northside church in Pompano Beach, Florida.
