Greetings from Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada.
Or as locals in the region call it, “The Port.” It’s a neat area with the Welland canal connecting Lake Ontario with Lake Erie. It’s fascinating to watch these huge barges inch their way through the locks as they are lowered and raised. If you ever come to Niagara Falls its worth a trip to see it. While you can watch from The Port or one of the other 8 locks, one of the best places to watch is Lock 7 at Thorold, where there is a watching station.
Hmm, there may be a future blog post in all of this. More importantly we’re enjoying our time here with the brethren and preaching each Sunday and Wednesday at the Wellandport Church. Sunday begins our VBS. And I will be teaching the adult class. As a serendipity, we’re are enjoying a break from the scorching weather in Florida and Texas. With morning temperatures in the 60’s and highs during the day in the high 70’s or low 80’s, it’s a nice respite.
Today’s post is a recap of the past week’s post in case you missed one. It’s also a good way to share ThePreachersWord with others either via email or social media. Also there is a bonus post at the end,
Have a great day. A wonderful weekend. And a blessed Lord’s Day tomorrow.
God Bless,
Ken

Nine years ago today we published a post about Louie Zamperini, an Olympic athlete and World War II hero, UNBROKEN: A Story of Fortitude and Forgiveness. Most of our current readers have probably never seen this post. I promise it’s worth your time to read it. Plus, you will want to see the movie based on this true story.
