The Bible says “A friend loves at all times” and “there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother” (Prov. 17:17; 18:24).

Alice offers 13 ways that this is true.

What Caring Friends Will Do

♥ Set aside quality time for you.

♥ Pray for you.

♥ Help you out when needed.

♥ Show you respect.

♥ Stand up for you.

♥ Listen to you without distraction.

♥ Keep your secrets.

♥ Give godly counsel.

♥ Laugh with you.

♥ Cry with you.

♥ Believe the best in you.

♥ Forgive graciously.

♥ Reflect God’s love to you.

Don’t we all want to have friends like this?

However, the advice of Ralph Waldo Emerson is important to remember: “The only way to have a friend is to be one.”
