Good Morning from Beverly Hills, Florida

We’re back home after a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation to Indian Shores Beach.  Well, I guess “All good things must come to an end.” Or do they?  See my Thursday column for the answer to that question.

Good Morning from Indiana Shores Beach,

For the 6th consecutive year, we’ve been blessed to spent some time in November at this beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida. It’s a beautiful stretch of beach between Clearwater Beach and St. Petersburg Beach.  Breath taking sunsets.  Plenty of good places to enjoy seafood.  And a great place to relax with our family during Thanksgiving.

Since I have preached somewhere almost every Sunday this year, and am scheduled for all of December, I plan to taking a couple Sundays off.  Looking forward to some R & R and family time.  Also, we will  only be posting Monday-Wednesday next week, taking a blogging break Thursday and Friday. Good Morning from Beverly Hills, Florida

I know that hurricane Nicole made national news.  And there was some serious damage in the Daytona Beach area.  But for us over here on the Nature Coast it was pretty much a non-event.  Wind and rain.  That’s all.  Today was back to sunny skies and 80 degrees.  We’re thankful we were spared from a serious storm.

Tomorrow I will be preaching for the West Citrus Church in Crystal River where we regularly worship.  Anytime you’re in our area, we’d love to see you.

Good Morning from Beverly Hills, FL

Although cooler Fall temperatures haven’t reached the sunshine state yet (the predicted high is going to be 85), it’s going to be a beautiful day. But where ever you are in the world whether it’s raining, snowing, or already freezing cold, remember “this is the day the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it” (Ps. 118:24).

Good Morning from Beverly  Hills, Florida

Well, what a week it’s been in our neck of the woods.  Seems like the whole week has been about Ian.  But not completely..

Sunday morning we drove over to Orlando and preached twice for the South Bumby Church.  It was a wonderful day of worship and fellowship together with these fine brethren.  You can hear the worship service lesson, Pressing Toward the Prize,  from their web page.

Monday evening I enjoyed doing a zoom Bible study as the guest of the Dowlen Rd church and Max Dawson in Beaumont, TX.  We discussed the Bible teaching of godliness.  If you want to watch , the discussion is archived on their YouTube Channel.  This Monday evening we will return for a follow up study.  You can watch live.  Click their web site or facebook page for info Continue reading →
