Weekly Recap: February 2-6

Greetings from Temple Terrace, FL

We’re still in TT following the lectures and participating in some “Golden Grad” functions for those of us who graduated from Florida College 50 years ago or longer.

This little school on the banks of the Hillsborough River holds a special place in our hearts.  It’s where Norma Jean and I met.  If not for coming to FC, we wouldn’t have enjoyed 58 years of marriage together.  Here, we made friends who have developed into lifelong relationships.   Bible professors and other teachers at FC helped shape my life and provide a spiritual perspective that I doubt would have been possible anywhere else.  So, it’s very special to return. Relive precious memories, Reconnect with old friends.  And find renewal and spiritual refreshment in our fellowship and the unique lectures each year.

So, four of our five posts this week have highlighted various aspects of the Lecture talks and/or our observations.  If you missed a post, this recap is an easy way to catch up.  Also, it’s a great way to share ThePreachersWord with family, friends, or brethren via email or social media.

BTW, you can access this wonderful lecture series by purchasing the Lecture book and/or viewing the Lectures, which are archived on the Florida College YouTube Channel.

Hope you all have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

God Bless,

Ken

BONUS POST

“Fret Not Over Evil Doers” is a post from 10 years ago this month from the 2016 Florida College Lectures whose theme was “You Are My God.”  It’s based on a Lecture by Mike Wilson on Psalm 37:1. It’s just as relevant and practical today as it was ten years ago.
