Weekly Recap: December 8-12

Greetings from Beverly Hills, FL

Who says it doesn’t get cold in Florida?  Yesterday we woke up to 36 degrees.  That’s brrrr for us down here.  This morning is a bit better at 42 degrees.  The good news for us is that we will hit a high of 75 today here on the Nature Coast.  I imagine our South Florida friends will enjoy even warmer weather.

But “cold weather” has not hampered our efforts to post every day this week.  We hope you’ve enjoyed the variety of topics we’ve shared.  Today’s post is a recap of the past weeks in case you missed one.  With its live links, it is an easy way to catch up.  Plus an opportunity to share a sample of ThePreachersWord with your friends, family, and brethren via social media or email.

Also, there is a bonus post at the bottom, you won’t want to miss.

Tomorrow, I will be preaching at the West Citrus Church in Crystal River, where we worship when we’re home.  We welcome you to join us any time you’re in the area.  You will receive a friendly greeting and find a group of Christians dedicated to serving God, studying His Word,  and worshiping in spirit and in Truth.  This link will take you to our website, which provides information about the church and my sermons, as well as sermons from others who preach here from time to time.

Hope you have a great day. And a wonderful weekend,

God Bless,

Ken

BONUS POST

Thirteen years ago, when we were living in Kansas City, the American Atheists Society was active this time of year, erecting billboards in major U.S. cities proclaiming Jesus as a fictional character, much like Santa Clause.  One billboard offered a picture of Jesus and Satan with the caption “Keep the Merry!  Dump the Myth:  This blog post, which most of you probably haven’t seen, offers evidence that Jesus is not a myth.  Click here to read Jesus: Myth or Master?
