Greetings from Garland, Texas.
Garland is in the DFW Metroplex. Norma Jean and I are here today to pay our respects to our departed friend, Billie Mann, and to speak at her memorial service at the Campbell Road Church of Christ.
Billie and her husband, Cal, have been friends of ours for many years. It’s a friendship and fellowship that has continued, although we’ve both moved to different states more than once. The theme of my eulogy and lesson today is taken from Proverbs 10:7, “The memory of the righteous is a blessing.” Indeed, it is. While we will miss Billie’s engaging smile and joyful spirit, we are blessed with precious memories. One of the many blessings of our fellowship in the Body of Christ that transcends time and geography.
Today’s post is a recap of the past week’s posts. We send this as a service to our readers, as an easy way to catch up if you’ve missed one. It’s also a good way to share ThePreachersWord with family, friends, and brethren via email or social media.
Have a great day. And a wonderful weekend.
God Bless,
Ken
