Weekly Recap: October20-24

Greetings from Gatlinburg,

What a blessing to enjoy the handiwork of God’s creation in the beautiful Smoky Mountains.  And especially so in the Fall, with colorful foliage dotting the mountains and valleys.

It’s also a blessing to reconnect with old friends —some local, some from out of state —who are visiting the Smokies, as well as the brethren in the little church we’ve come to love at Cosby. It’s always a delight to be with our friends, Olie and Mary Williamson, who are pillars in both the church and the community.  At 93 years young, still preaching and playing golf, Olie gives us hope of more years to minister and serve the Lord.

Tomorrow, I’m preaching at Cosby. If you’re within driving distance, come and join us.  Bible study is at 10AM and worship is at 11AM.

Today’s post is a recap of the past week’s posts in case you missed one.  It’s also an easy way to share with family, friends, and brethren via email or social media.  In addition, today’s bonus post, written three years ago, The Blessing of Adoption, celebrates a special occasion in our family today —the adoption of our daughter, Rachél.  The post offers not only our personal feelings, but also thoughts about adoption and the spiritual adoption we enjoy in Jesus.

Hope you all have a great day.  And a wonderful weekend.

God Bless,

Ken
