Weekly Recap: October 13-17

Greetings from Gatlinburg

After a wonderful week sharing the Word with the brethren at the Christian Home  Church in Butler County, KY, we have made our annual Fall foliage trip to the Great Smoky  Mountains.

This Sunday and the following Sunday, I will be preaching at the Cosby Church, 15 miles east of Gatlinburg on 321.  It’s a lovely, easy drive.  If you visit, you will enjoy the fellowship of these fine brethren.  They are served by their 93-year-old preacher, Olie Williamson, who preaches every Sunday, unless he can twist the arm of a guest preacher! Olie is amazing.  He still plays golf twice a week. And along with his lovely wife, Mary, he is a servant leader for this little mountain church and community.

This post is a recap of the past week’s posts.  With its live links, it’s easy to catch up if you’ve missed one.  Also, it’s a great way to share ThePreachersWord with family, friends, or brethren via email or social media.

Hope you have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

God Bless,

Ken

BONUS POST

This post from 13 years ago not only conjures up a wonderful memory of a speaking opportunity and special fellowship at a men’s retreat, but also reminds me of a vital, important topic that is never outdated and one we all need to be working on, both men and women.  Click here to read “Character Counts.”
