Weekly Recap: September 29-October 3

Greetings from Beverly Hills, FL

“Where did September go?” Norma Jean exclaimed to me the other day.  Did anyone else say or think that?  It certainly seems that time moves quickly as we get older.   It reminds me of a thought-provoking quote by an anonymous author, “The older you get, the faster time passes in your mind, so use your time according to what is most important.”

So, we are now officially in the fall of the year, our favorite season.  It’s time to head to the Smoky Mountains and enjoy the Fall foliage and see our friends at the Cosby Church. However, before we do that, we’re heading to Kentucky this week to begin a Gospel Meeting at the Christian Home church in Butler County.  It’s located about 20 minutes east of Morgantown and about 40 minutes North of Bowling Green.  We’d love to see some of our readers from that area, October 12-15.

This post is a recap of the past week’s posts in case you missed one.  It’s an easy way to stay current.  Additionally, it’s an opportunity to share a sample of The Preacher’s Word via email or social media with your friends, family, and fellow believers.

Have a great day.  And a wonderful weekend.

God Bless,

Ken

BONUS POST

On this date in history, October 4, 1537, the first complete English-language Bible was printed, with translations by William Tyndale and Miles Coverdale.  Seven years ago today, we published a post titled “A Tribute to Tyndale.”  His work, as well as that of many others, reminds us of the blessings we have inherited, allowing us access to God’s Word in our own language. It’s a short read, but one you will enjoy and appreciate.
