Weekly Recap: June 2-6

Greetings from Beverly Hills, FL

Last Saturday, I sent out a special post with a prayer request for my wife, Norma Jean.  In it are the details of some recent health issues.  The response has been incredible. Thanks to all of you have sent messages, cards, and called. Norma is greatly encouraged by the outpouring of your love, concern, and prayers.  We both thank you very much.

This week we’ve been making the final preparations for her surgery on Monday @ 9AM at Bayfront hospital in St. Pete.  If you would take another moment that morning and petition The Father on her behalf, we would appreciate it.

Today’s post is a recap of the past week’s posts in case you’ve missed one.  It is a good way to catch up.  Plus share ThePreachersWord with friends, family, and brethren via email or social media.

Tomorrow I will be preaching at the West Citrus Church in Crystal River.  If you’re ever visiting The Nature Coast, come and see us.

Have a great day.  And a wonderful weekend.

God Bless,

Ken

BONUS POST

What if You Only had 6 Months to Live? was a post published in our first year of publication on this date 13 years ago.  It’s based on a true story about  Randy Pausch, a terminally ill computer science professor at Carnegie  Mellon University.  I doubt most of you have read it.  If you’ve never heard his story, it is gripping, inspiring, and thought-provoking.

    Ken,

This is Mark Daniels in Louisville, KY. FYI, Norma Jean is on the Manslick Road church’s prayer list. Her condition was discussed this past Wednesday night and we are praying for her, and for you.

    God be always with you.
