Five Ways God Helps Us Grow

I’m reading a book right now entitled, “Not Too Old, ”by David Faust. It’s subtitled “Turning Your Later Years Into Greater Years.” I would recommend it to any senior saint.

In his chapter on pursuing maturity as an older adult, Faust wrote, “Someone summed up senior adulthood by saying, “In your sixties, it’s ‘go, go, go.’ In your seventies it’s ‘slow, slow, slow.’ In your eighties it’s no, no, no!” Continue reading

Five Steps For Igniting and Growing Your Zeal

“Zeal is essential to success,” advised the 19th century British preacher Charles Spurgeon. In a sermon he once offered this observation.

“Brethren, we would not condemn the use of zeal in the common affairs of life, for zeal is essential to success; we only wish that Christians would take copy from worldly men and be half as earnest and half as ambitions to maintain and increase the kingdom of their Lord and Master, as some men are after petty trifles or selfish aggrandizements.” Continue reading

Weekly Recap: February 24-28

Greetings From Beverly Hills, FL

While the first 4 days this week were spent enjoying the sights and food of St. Augustine, we still managed to post every day from our “office” at the Homewood Suites.
