Weekly Recap: September 9-13

Greetings from Beverly Hills, FL

Today Norma Jean and I are leaving for Huntington Beach, California, where I will be preaching in a meeting beginning tomorrow, September 15th through Wednesday the 18th.  It’s our first time to preach for this congregation.  So we are looking forward to meeting the brethren and reconnecting with friends from Kansas City days, Joe and Debra Griffin.

The other day at church a brother quipped to me, “You’re the busiest retired preacher I know.”  Well,  I guess it depends on how you define “retirement.”  Since 2018 we have not been tied down to local church work, but are continuing to preach, teach, write and travel as opportunities are provided.  We are blessed.

I know we have readers in the greater LA area.  If you’re able to attend the meeting at Huntington Beach, we would love to meet you.

Today’s post is provided as a means for you to catch up in case you’ve missed a post this week.

Hope you all have a great day. And a wonderful weekend.

God Bless,

Ken

Are You Giving God the Leftovers? was a post published 7 years ago today.  It’s based on an event that occurred when Jimmy Carter was President.  It’s something for us to think about today. Most of our present day readers probably haven’t seen this post.  You will profit from it.
