Weekly Recap: August 12-16

Greetings from Beverly Hills, FL

Yes, we’re home.  It feels good after being gone for almost two months.  And especially so after living out a suitcase in hotels for the past two weeks.   It’s nice to get up, walk to my kitchen, make my own coffee, and write from my little office while sitting in my robe.  For some reason the Hampton Inn discourages that.

However, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip this year.  From visiting Noah’s ark, to renewing our fellowship with the Wellandport Church in Ontario, Canada, and participating in their VBS, to retuning to the Jordan Church and speaking for the first time in both Hamilton and Kingston, Ontario, and then concluding with preaching for the Charlestown Road Church in New Albany, Indiana, it’s all been wonderful.   Of course, the visits are highlighted not only with the blessing of ministering in the Word, but renewing the friendship and fellowship of brethren and family along the way.  We are thankful for the opportunity.

Tomorrow, I’m taking a preaching break.  But will be speaking the next Sunday, August 25th,  at the West Citrus Church where we worship when we’re home.

Today’s post is recap of the past week’s posts.  We share it with its live links, in case you’ve missed one.  It’s not only an easy way to catch up, but an opportunity to share ThePreachersWord with others via email, or social media.

Hope you all have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

God Bless,

Ken

BONUS POST

Have you ever heard someone say, “I can’t help it.  That’s just the way I feel”?  Four years ago today we published a post about Feelings.  In fact, we’ve written the topic extensively through the years, but not lately.  This post and the subsequent posts will provide some deeper insight into how to deal with our feelings.
