Greetings from Gatlinburg and The Great Smoky Mountains,
Norma Jean and I have enjoyed another wonderful week in the mountains. Walking trails. Seeing wildlife. Relaxing. Eating good food. Going to Dollywood. Being together. And just basking in the beauty and magnificence of God’s creation.
Not the least of our enjoyment is our fellowship with the brethren at the Cosby church and reconnecting with our dear friends Olie and Mary Williamson. I will be preaching there again tomorrow at their 11:00 AM worship service.
Last week I posted, if you are in the driving distance, come and see us. So, who walks in Sunday morning? Our good friend Mike Fletcher from Georgia. Surprised to see him, I asked, “Are you in the area? “Yes, Mike replied. “3 1/2 hours away!” He just decided to drive over Sunday morning and worship with us. It was an unexpected treat. While we don’t expect a repeat, if you’re visiting the Smoky Mountains, we recommend Cosby as a place to worship on Sunday and where you will be warmly welcomed.
Today’s post is a recap of the past week’s post. It’s a good way to catch up in case you’ve missed one.
Have a great day. And a wonderful weekend.
God Bless,
Ken
BTW, a shout out to our readers from Spain. In addition to the usual countries with the most hits, US, Canada, Philippines and South Africa, we had a surge in hits from Spain this week. I’m not sure why. But we welcome you. Muchas gracias!

“I’m not perfect,” is an often repeated refrain. Often used to justify some shortcoming. Nine years ago today, we published a post offering a Biblical explanation of the word “perfect.” Most of our newer readers have never seen this post. Click here to learn what it means to be “perfect.”
