About

Several years ago when we were living in Palmetto, Florida, the Mayor, Toby Holland, dubbed me with the nickname “preacherman.” It was fitting. I am a preacher. It’s not only what I do. It’s who I am. I’ve been preaching since High School. For over 40 years I’ve been a preacherman. It’s my email address. preacherman@weliever.net

So, when I decided to start a blog it seemed natural to call it ThePreachersWord. I hope like the ancient Preacher of Ecclesiastes I can ”find delightful words and to write words of truth correctly” (Eccl 12:10).

Of course, my goal for ThePreachersWord is to accurately reflect God’s Word.  To encourage. To edify. To enlighten. Hopefully, we can accomplish this on a regular, if not daily basis.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you come back and visit on a regular basis.

For a more detailed bio of my background and work in preaching the gospel go to my web page.  http://www.weliever.net/page0/page0.html   Also there you will find some recorded sermons and additional resources.

I’d like to receive more of these great lessons from you. Can I receive them by email regularly? I was not sure if there was a way to sign up or not. Thank you

You have an excellent site. Very eye catching and obviously you have put some time and thought in its development. Kudos….if your goal is to shed the light of the Gospel — mission accomplished! Fellow blogger-in-development, preacher, and Christian — PD Chap
